Aliah and Michael are Married

I'm back, and a little behind on blogging my latest photos. I will be posting more this week. These warmer days have just been flying by and between mini family vacations, laundry, church duties, a crawling baby, a sassy (almost) 3 year old, and catching fireflies, there hasn't been much time to blog! Remember Aliah and Michael? They were married on April 16th in the LDS Washington, DC temple. It was a beautiful day, despite the rain-which tradition says is good luck anyway! As always I learned so many valuable photography do's and don'ts from the day and came out a better photographer because of it. The best part for me, as the photographer, was being able to see so much love on that day and capturing it with my camera. I captured so much of it that the pictures you see posted here are just a small fraction of the day's happenings! So without further ado I give you the Mr. and Mrs....

Because of the rain on Aliah and Michael's wedding day we weren't able to do a full on bride and groom photo shoot. So after their honeymoon we made a trip back to the temple for these photos...

Bride To Be

I got to do a bridal session with this little beauty last weekend and LOVED it! It was freezing cold outside, there were times when I could hardly get my numb fingers to push the shutter button on my camera. Then my face went numb at one point and felt like I had weights tied to my cheeks when I tried to smile or speak...pretty funny. And poor Aliah was in her dress with no time to get warm in her jacket between shots before I had her take it off again! Despite the cold, we got a lot of awesome pictures. Her mom and aunt came along...both are just too funny and we had a blast.

LDS Missionary Sneak Peak

I had a photo shoot with this soon-to-be Mormon missionary over the weekend. He is just about to enter the Missionary Training Center at the end of this month and then off he goes to Southern California to serve his two year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He will be serving in the mission where I grew up, so maybe my parents will feed him and his companion sometime!
Anyway, note to the missionary: Here are the best ones to pick from for your plaque...I wanted to get that one to you asap and then I will have these and others on the CD for you by the end of the week!
